TRADEPLUS AU – Refund Policy

Last Updated: 12-02-2026

At TRADEPLUS AU, we are committed to complying with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). This Refund Policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returns, refunds, repairs, and replacements.

1. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to:

  • a replacement or refund for a major failure

  • compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage

  • have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure

These rights apply automatically and cannot be excluded or limited.

2. Major Failures

A product is considered to have a major failure if:

  • it would not have been purchased if the problem had been known

  • it is significantly different from the description or sample

  • it is substantially unfit for its normal purpose and cannot be easily fixed

  • it is unsafe

If a product has a major failure, you may choose between:

  • a refund, or

  • a replacement

You may also be entitled to compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

3. Minor Failures

If a product has a minor failure, TRADEPLUS AU may choose to:

  • repair the product, or

  • replace the product

If the issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable time, you may then choose a refund or replacement.

4. Change of Mind Returns

We are not required to provide refunds for change of mind under Australian Consumer Law.

However, TRADEPLUS AU may, at its discretion, accept change of mind returns subject to the following conditions:

  • return requested within [Insert Timeframe, e.g. 14 days] of purchase

  • proof of purchase provided

  • goods unused and in original packaging

  • goods in resalable condition

  • freight costs are non-refundable

  • restocking fees may apply

The following items are generally not eligible for change of mind returns:

  • special order or custom products

  • clearance or discontinued items

  • cut-to-size materials

  • hazardous or regulated goods

  • installed or used products

Approval of change of mind returns is at the sole discretion of TRADEPLUS AU.

5. Return Process

To request a return or refund:

  1. Contact us at [Insert Email Address]

  2. Provide your proof of purchase

  3. Provide details of the issue (including photographs if applicable)

  4. Await return instructions

Goods must not be returned without prior approval.

We may inspect returned goods to assess eligibility under the ACL.

6. Delivery Damage or Incorrect Goods

If goods arrive damaged or incorrect:

  • notify us within 48 hours of delivery

  • provide photographs and order details

We will arrange replacement or refund where required under the ACL.

7. Installation and Trade Responsibility

TRADEPLUS AU supplies building and trade materials. Customers are responsible for:

  • ensuring products are suitable for the intended purpose

  • ensuring correct installation

  • complying with Australian Standards and relevant building regulations

Refunds will not be provided for products incorrectly installed, misused, or selected incorrectly, unless required under the ACL.

8. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible.

Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

9. Business and Trade Customers

Where goods are purchased for business or commercial use, certain consumer guarantees may not apply if the goods are not ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use.

However, TRADEPLUS AU will always comply with applicable Australian laws.
