Warranty Policy
TRADEPLUS AU – Warranty Policy
Last Updated: 12-02-2026
At TRADEPLUS AU, we stand behind the quality of the products we supply. This Warranty Policy outlines your rights and our responsibilities under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and any applicable manufacturer warranties.
1. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to:
-
a replacement or refund for a major failure
-
compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage
-
have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure
These consumer guarantees apply automatically and cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified.
2. Manufacturer Warranties
Many products sold by TRADEPLUS AU are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.
Where a manufacturer’s warranty applies:
-
the warranty is provided by the manufacturer, not TradePlus AU
-
warranty terms, periods, and conditions vary depending on the product
-
you may be required to contact the manufacturer directly
We will provide reasonable assistance in facilitating warranty claims where required.
Manufacturer warranties are provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
3. Warranty Claims Process
To make a warranty claim, you must:
-
Contact us at [Insert Email Address]
-
Provide proof of purchase (tax invoice or receipt)
-
Provide details of the issue, including photographs if applicable
-
Return the product if requested
We may inspect the product to assess the claim.
If the product is confirmed to be faulty under the ACL or applicable warranty, we will provide a repair, replacement, or refund as required by law.
4. Major vs Minor Failures
Under the Australian Consumer Law:
A major failure occurs when:
-
the product would not have been purchased had the problem been known
-
the product is significantly different from the description
-
the product is unsafe
-
the product is substantially unfit for purpose and cannot be easily fixed
For major failures, you may choose a refund or replacement.
For minor failures, we may choose to repair or replace the product within a reasonable time.
5. What Is Not Covered
This Warranty Policy does not cover:
-
damage caused by misuse, abuse, or negligence
-
incorrect installation or failure to follow manufacturer instructions
-
normal wear and tear
-
damage caused by external factors (weather, impact, improper storage, etc.)
-
unauthorised modifications or repairs
-
commercial use where a product is intended for domestic use only
Building materials must be installed in accordance with Australian Standards and manufacturer guidelines.
6. Installation and Trade Use
TRADEPLUS AU supplies building and trade materials. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure:
-
products are suitable for the intended project
-
products are installed correctly
-
all relevant building codes, standards, and regulations are followed
We are not liable for defects resulting from incorrect installation.
7. Timeframe for Claims
Warranty claims must be made within a reasonable time after the defect becomes apparent.
Different products may have different manufacturer warranty periods. Please refer to product documentation for specific warranty durations.
8. Costs Associated with Warranty Claims
If a claim is valid under the Australian Consumer Law:
-
we will cover reasonable costs associated with repair, replacement, or refund
If a claim is found to be invalid:

you may be responsible for inspection, freight, or return costs
9. Limitation of Liability
